The Maryland Historical Trust administers various grant programs that assist in a wide variety of historic preservation-related activities. Each program has different eligibility standards, operating regulations, applications and deadlines, so please be sure to read each program’s guidelines closely to make sure your project is eligible. FY 2017 Maryland Heritage Areas Program Grants
The Maryland Heritage Areas Program is currently accepting applications for the FY 2017 grant round, however, the deadline has passed to submit an Intent to Apply form, the required first step of the process.
If you would like to request permission to begin the process late, please contact your local heritage area director.

FY 2017 African American Heritage Preservation Program Grants
Applications are now being accepted for capital (bricks-and-mortar) projects related to African American heritage
in Maryland under the African American Heritage Preservation Program.
The deadline is 11:59 pm on Friday,
July 15, 2016. The application must be submitted through our online grant application portal.
