Heritage Grants Strengthen Maryland's Communities

The Maryland Heritage Areas Program has awarded 58 matching grants totaling $5 million to projects that preserve Maryland's historic places, expand cultural experiences, and create new opportunities for residents and visitors alike. From museum exhibits and historic preservation projects to festivals, trails, and community spaces, these investments help bring Maryland's stories to life while supporting local economies through heritage tourism.
