Tax Credits Electronic Application Submission Instructions

MHT uses Microsoft Teams to receive application materials and send approvals. You do not need a Microsoft account, but you must have a valid email address

All application forms are available on the individual tax credit webpages. Forms are fillable PDFs and must be:

Step 1: Request a Teams channel

To submit application materials, complete the Request Channel Form.

  • MHT staff will review your request.
  • If staff have questions, they will contact you by email.
  • If approved, MHT will create a private Teams channel for your project.
  • You will receive an automatic email from Teams when the channel is ready (check your spam folder).

Step 2: Access your Teams channel

  • If you already use Microsoft Teams, sign in to your account to access the channel.
  • If you do not use Teams, go to teams.microsoft.com in any web browser.

Step 3: Sign in without a Microsoft account

  1. Enter your email address.
  2. If prompted, select “Use another account.”
  3. Choose the option to receive a one-time access code by email.
  4. Check your email (including spam) and enter the code when prompted.

Once signed in, you may see welcome screens. After access is granted, you will see the private channel created by MHT.

Step 4: Locate application folders

  • Open the channel and select the Files tab.
  • The General folder includes links to forms, instructions, and naming conventions.
  • If your project includes both state and federal applications, MHT will provide separate folders for each.

Step 5: Upload application materials

  • Select Upload, then Files.
  • Find the files saved on your computer and upload them to the correct folder.
  • Upload all required materials, including application forms, photographs, and supporting documents.

Step 6: Notify MHT and submit payment


After uploading all materials, email [email protected] to notify MHT.

  • MHT staff will confirm receipt of your application.
  • You will then receive an electronic payment request for the review fee.
  • Payment is due within 10 business days. Applications are not placed in the review queue until payment is received.
